Numbers

In 2005-2006, FLF’s inaugural year, approximately 50 students successfully completed Financial Management elective courses at School Without Walls and SEED Public Charter School.

During the 2006-2007 academic year, FLF dramatically increased its reach to include four additional schools and nearly 400 students. In addition to the Financial Management courses taught in D.C. high schools, FLF joined Year Up to teach financial education to an additional 40 students. Beyond the classroom, FLF partnered with community group Youth Now! to conduct workshops to community centers in Southeast D.C.
