

Jonice Gray Tucker is a native Washingtonian whose mother, aunt, and grandmother were teachers in the District of Columbia's public schools. Ms. Tucker holds a Bacholor's Degree from the University of Virginia and a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School. Following a federal clerkship, Ms. Tucker joined the litigation group in the Washington, D.C. office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP where her practice has focused on representation of banks, mortgage servicing companies and other financial institutions in complex civil litigation and government investigations. During her legal career, Ms. Tucker has witnessed the signficant, long-standing problems that can arise when young people fail to learn basic financial management skills. Ms. Tucker, a strong proponent of public education, believes that financial management skills are the key to economic empowerment and should be should taught in every public school.
